I wanted to get out a day or two ago but didn't. So I did get out to take a look at a few beaches today. Here is what I saw.

John Brooks was a lot different than it was last Sunday when there were five or foot cuts as far as I could see. Those cuts only lasted a short time. I think it was only one day, and then the winds shifted.

A couple days ago, I mentioned the problem of the Minelab Equinox charging contacts getting corroded. A couple people said a pencil eraser could be used to clean the contacts. I tried that and it worked well. It worked better than the contact cleaner I was using before. I still want to protect the contacts from salt water as much as possible so that it doesn't need to be cleaned often so I still plan to use some method of covering the contacts when in the field.
Thanks to those who suggested using an eraser to clean the contacts.

The surf is decreasing. We are going to get a west wind, which I am hoping is going to blow some water out at low tide so I can get into some good areas.
