4/3/21Report - Around the Treasure Coast This Morning. Some Erosion, But Conditions Not Much Improved.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

Sebastian Bridge and Pier Saturday Morning.

I'll show you give you a tour of the state of the beaches this morning.  Here is the area just south of the Sebastian bridge and pier.  There was a lot of brown renourishment sand there.  There was one other detectorist up there this morning.  Maybe you can see a little erosion up by the bridge.  There was also some to the south in front of the the parking area.

Ambersands Saturday Morning.

From the inlet down past Ambersands there was a lot of brown renourishment sand.  The cuts were a good distanc out from the dunes and there wa a lot of sand in front of the beaches.

Ambersand Saturday Morning.

Notice the recently planted sea oats.  There was a line of grey renourishment sand showing below some of the brown sand.  It all looked like renourishment sand.

One other detectorist showed up at Ambersands while I was there.

Golden Sands was still closed.

There were a couple detectorists north of Seagrape and the beach club.

Turtle Trail Saturday Morning.

I saw just two or three other detectorists at Turtle Trail this morning.

Turtle Trail hadn't changed much since yesterday.  The cut in a few places was just a touch closer to the dune face.

Turtle Trail Saturday Morning.

Targers were scarce most places.

Unfortunately the waves were hitting the beach straight on.  I would like to see a good north wash over the front beach.  It wasn't happening.

Below are pictures of Turtle Trail near low tide Friday evening.  You will see that not much happened to change the beach since last night.

I'm not expecting much more out of this.  The surf will begin to decrease, and the winds are form the northeast, but as you can see above, the waves are hitting almost straight on.
