Yesterday the wind shifted, and we have been getting a nice north wind, so I went out to see what some of the beaches were doing.
Here is what it looked like on the Treasure Coast on this Good Friday.

Thyere was some erosion. The cut was farther back than I expected. The front beach was pretty flat as you can see. Only the tops of some of the erosion control bags were showing.
There weren't many detectorists out this morning.

The orange sand wasn't too deep at some spots. You could judge from some of the posts how deep the sand was.

Seagrape Tails also had some erosion, as you can see here.

Seagrape Access Stairs Friday Morning. |
That is a common area for shells and shark teeth.
To the north around the bend and up towards the beach club there was a nice little crescent cut.

I also looked at Wabasso, but saw no cuts to speak of there.
I didn't detect hardly at all this morning. I strained my back digging junk this week and thought it needed another day of rest.
John Brooks wasn't cut at all this morning.

Overall, I'd consider beach conditions to be a 2. That is my transitional rating. There had been some erosion, and beach conditions were somewhat improved.
Happy hunting,
