Possible I guess, but I'm very skeptical at this point.  Simple shapes can resemble a lot of things.

Perception is an interesting and complex process.  We think we are looking at a disconnected outside world but a bit what we see is actually a reflection of ourselves.  We project what we've picked up or learned from the past onto the ambiguous objects see.  Perception is a somewhat subjective and creative process.

Archaeologist Michael Gibbons said initial surveys suggest the island — Collanmore — is effectively a fort dating from the late Bronze Age.

The first clue appeared when several large ramparts were uncovered cutting across the tidal isthmus linking the island to the shoreline outside Westport.

Collanmore, which is accessible by foot at very low tides, was once a base for the Glenans Irish Sailing Club.

The set of double ramparts are faced with large limestone blocks and extending for 200 to 300 metres, and are “most likely to be late Bronze Age in date, dating between 1100-900 BC”, Mr Gibbons said.

Both features are covered on high tide, and the site is “so large and coated in seaweed that one can see why it wasn’t discovered before”...

Browsing the internet, I'm often amazed by the skill levels that some people achieve.  They include musicians, weightlifters, athletes, physicists, mathematicians, etc.  It's amazing what the most accomplished people can do.

There is one thing you will notice as being common to the most highly skilled or accomplished people in various fields.  Of course, they have the necessary level of physical and mental aptitude.  But that isn't all.  That isn't the lesson that I want you to get.

In addition to natural ability, in almost all cases, the most accomplished people have developed their skill level over many years and countless hours of devotion to the activity.  They spent more time practicing and developing their skill than the vast majority of people ever put into any activity.

Yes, they had the natural potential.  They had the genetics.  They also had support and opportunities.  They likely had good training or teachers.  But in almost every case, they displayed a singleness of drive, focus and devotion that is extremely unusual.  Many more people have the potential or ability, but are not so fully focused to the activity to fully develop their potential.

You won't find many pro football players that also play the violin at the highest levels.  People who are at the very top of their profession are usually laser focused on a single activity and spend much more time on the thing they love to do.  Thing of gymnasts and figure skaters.

For the most part, people who are so highly skilled than anybody else that they have little time for other things.

Now for the takeaway lesson.  You can dabble at metal detecting or treasure hunting, but you are likely will have middling results unless you spend a LOT of time at it.  You can take Mel Fisher as an example of the devoted searcher that gave so much time and effort to his quest.  It took many years to find the Atocha.  Most aren't willing to give up what he gave up to accomplish that goal.

Now I'm not saying you should do that.  It might not be for you.  It might not be who you arel

I did a lot of different things in my life.  I got interested in a lot of different things and did a lot of different things and never took any of them as far as I could, but by my estimation, it worked out pretty well.

It is a matter of priorities.  You have to decide what is really important to you?

Where your heart is, there will your treasure be also.
