2/7/24 Report - Treasure Coast Beaches Today From Ambersands to Walton Rocks.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

John Brooks Wednesday Morning.

I took a look at a number of the beaches this morning.  The surf had been really high, as predicted.

Above you see John Brooks beach.  The water was up to the dunes.  The tide hadn't gone down yet.

The waves were very high.  You don't see it that high very often, but ioit was what I might call a straight-on, by which I mean that the water was hitting the beaches straight on.  I saw almost no erosion from Ambersands to Walton Rocks.

Frederick Douglass Beach Wednesday Morning.

As is otter the case, Frederick Douglass Beach looked very much like John Brooks.  The water had been high on most, and still was, yet there was no erosion.

I stopped at Blind Creek, and it looked no different.  The sand was pushed up to the dunes and the water was still high.

Walton Rocks Wednesday Morning.

Walton Rocks was about the same too.

Notice the Rocks on the beach in this photo.

By the time I got to Vero, the water was a little lower, but it looked like the water didn't get as high on the beach there.  I think all the sand in front of the beach decreased the water hitting the beaches.

You can see the long flat beach front, which goes out a long way.  That is where a lot of the old renourishment sand is now.

Wabasso Wednesday Morning.

I saw a couple detectorists at Wabasso.  They looked like maybe snowbirds.  One was using a Garrett Ace.

Ambersands Wednesday Morning.

Ambersands Wednesday Morning.

As you can see, from Ambersands to Walton Rocks. there were almost no cuts, and what there were  not very significant.

I did find some areas that held coins.  They were fairly low on the beach, and when I was there, hard to get to.  Overall, targets were scarce.

I do bet, however, that the few places that have produced treasure coins in the past year will produce again.  Those would be places where the high water eroded productive dunes.   I wasn't at any of those spots today.

You might get better access to some better areas when the water backs off a bit.

The surf charts show 7 - 11 feet today decreasing to more like 5 - 7 tomorrow.

Good hunting,
