10/2/14 Report - Higher Surf Coming To the Treasure Coast Later This Week. Big High Tides Too. Kirk Stay Out To Sea.

Yesterday I said to watch out for Kirk, but what I meant is that area down in the Gulf, but I don't know if it was going to develop.  So far it hasn't and I hope it doesn't.  There has been more than enough storm damage to the Gulf Coast already.

Kirk will probably stay out there in the middle of the Atlantic.

Here is the big news for me today. It looks like we'll get some higher surf.  Five or six feet is more than we've had for a while.

The tides will be nice and high today again.

In recent years, November has provided some of our best beach metal detecting finds.

Steinhatchee, a town of 500 residents about 90 miles southeast of state capital Tallahassee, was so overwhelmed by a 10-foot storm surge and a 140 mph winds that led local officials to enforce an evacuation.

It is hard to imagine the Goodamage all the way up in Ashville and Virginia.
