I thought I'd go out and maybe do a little detecting this morning. Well, a day or metal detecting quickly turned into a football game day. The rain didn't chase me in, but the thunder did.
As you can see above, the cuts that were at John Brooks the last time I was there, are now gone. The surf topped those cuts and erased them.

There were some good sized waves hitting the beaches straight on. That is shown in this little video clip.

I visited another couple of beaches before getting rained out. They looked similar. Cuts were almost all gone.

Looks like the surf will be getting small, but maybe we'll have another bump in the surf next weekend.
