A metal disk, presumed to be a coin, was found in the wreck of the British sloop of war HMS Swift sunk in 1770 in the Deseado estuary, currently Patagonia, Argentina. After cleaning, marks became noticeable, revealing the features of a halfpenny from the late period of King George II. Metallographic and chemical tests performed on the surface showed that the coin was made of an alloy of copper, zinc, and tin, and its microstructure was of a cast material. These characteristics illustrate the coin to be counterfeit.

Silver artefacts from the shipwreck Batavia, known to have been made on commission by the Dutch East India Company in 1627–1628 for trade in the Dutch East Indies, were analysed using LA-ICP-MS for trace elemental composition. The results were compared to a database of trace elemental compositions of Spanish, Spanish American and other European silver coins of known provenance. At the time Spain, which controlled the vast majority of world silver, was at war with the United Netherlands, and was enforcing a trade embargo, severely limiting the supplies of precious metals accessible by the Dutch. Based on their trace elemental composition, the Batavia silver artefacts were found to have been most similar to silver known to have originated in Germany and silver that reached the Dutch indirectly from Spain. These results shed light on the movement of silver as a commodity throughout the world during a unique time in history.

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — An object eerily similar to the strange monolith that mysteriously appeared in Utah last month has suddenly shown up on the Treasure Coast.

Workers at Pierced Cider bar in Fort Pierce posted photos on Facebook Wednesday of the object.

The post said the monolith is about 10 feet tall and made of some sort of shiny metal...

Right after the election I congratulated the CCP.  If you are one of those that wanted to know why, read this.

Professor claims China has people in America's 'core inner circle' (nypost.com)

Here is a bit of what was said by a Chinese political scientist.

“I’m going to throw out something maybe a little bit explosive here. It’s just because we have people at the top. We have our old friends who are at the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence.”

“During the US-China trade war, [Wall Street] tried to help, and I know that my friends on the US side told me that they tried to help, but they couldn’t do much. But now we’re seeing Biden was elected, the traditional elite, the political elite, the establishment, they’re very close to Wall Street, so you see that, right?” Di asked the audience, noting that the next administration would likely take a very different stance from that of President Trump.

That is just a little of it.
