Seagrape Trail Access Tuesday.

I received the following email message and the above photo from JamminJack.

It was a pleasure to see Turtle Trail open, but not for long. Found a few items fairly deep, but nothing of value.

I stopped by Sea Grape, and talked to a supervisor. He gave me a piece of paper showing their schedule, and a business card to call with any questions.

Below is additional information that was provided to Jack.

Notice that the list  immediately above is labeled "As Of Oct. 29, 2021."

Thanks Jack.

The first period of this year's excavations on the plateau of Trapeza, eight kilometers southwest of Aigio, was completed, bringing to light, among other things, valuable sets of statues and bronze swords. The site is identified with Rypes, a city that flourished during the early historical times and participated in the colonization, founding Croton in greater Greece.

The excavation focused on the research of the Mycenaean necropolis, which is developed on the southwestern slope of the plateau and is located on the ancient road that led to the acropolis of historical times. The tombs are chambered, carved into the soft sandy subsoil. Their use was long and intensive, already during the protopalatial period of the Mycenaean world, along with the heyday of the great centers of Mycenae, Tiryns and Pylos. Significant reuse of the tombs dates back to the 12th century BC, when the tombs were reopened and repeatedly, while at the same time constituting a place of burial customs and complex ritual practices until the end of the Bronze Age, in the 11th century BC.

The excavation in the necropolis yields valuable sets of grave goods consisting of vases, numerous seal stones and all kinds of beads and votes from various materials – glass, faience, gold, corneli, rock crystal – composing necklaces and elaborate jewelry, as well as golden vaults in the shape of voukranes that refer to the commercial relations with the eastern Aegean and Cyprus...

Here is the link for more about that.

Valuable sets of clandes and bronze swords were attributed by the first phase of the excavation research in Trapeza of Aigaleia (culture.gov.gr)

It seems that humankind could have been endowed with a more generous nature, but you'll find that the majority are users instead of givers.  If you are a giver, don't expect anything in return for your efforts.  Just know that you are a lucky person when you have a true friend or two that will be there for you when they can get nothing from you.

Fort Pierce Surf Predictions.
Source: MagicSeaWeed.com.

So, the Treasure Coast surf will begin to increase in a few days if the predictions are correct.  It looks like the Sebastian area will have a peak a little earlier than the Fort Pierce area.  Sebastian is predicted to get a peak of about seven feet on Sunday and then decrease a little.

Happy hunting,
