4/10/23 Report - State of Some of the Vero/Sebastian Beaches Monday Afternoon.

Written by the Treasureguide for the Exclusive Use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

Ambersands Beach Monday Afternoon.

I haven't been to the Vero/Sebastian beaches very much this year but I went out this afternoon to see what it was like.   Most of the photos were taken around two and three o'clock.  It was well before low tide.

The previous high tide did not reach the dunes anywhere I was.

You can see that the renourishment sand was be moved, but not enough to get ot the old sand there.

I didn't get down on this beach, and didn't go up around the bend.  I expected more of the same.

I visited Turtle Trail too.  That was the only place I saw any other detectorists.

The surf was good and rough, but the water was hitting straight on,
and there were virtually no cuts.

You can see the big flat area in front of the beach

Below is the view way to the south.

There were a few bag tops visible periodically all the way from the first flag pole to south of the second flag pole.

You can see a little of a couple bags in the photo above.

The dunes are still protected by new sand, and there is a lot of sand out in front of the beach.

Although the surf was pretty big, the water was hitting straight on.

The peak surf had not arrived yet.  It should peak about 9 PM. and remain big tomorrow, but I see no big change in the direction of the swells.
