I went out again this morning. I think it is the first time all year I managed to get out to the beaches three days in a row.
I wanted to check and report on the some of the most commonly hunted Treasure Coast shipwreck beaches, so there are some photos.
First is the area north of the McClarty Museum. Low tide was over.

As you can see, there was a lot of seaweed on the beach. That was the case on every beach I visited. That is a sign that light stuff is moving in and being dropped on the beach. That includes sand.
Ambersands Beach Wednesday Morning. |
You can see the erosion at Ambersands, but the cuts are in renourishment sand, which washed down the face of the beach. So there was some erosion that was followed by accretion.

Wabasso and the Disney Resort Area was about the same.

I didn't stop at Seagrape Trail today, but DJ did. Here are his photos.

Turtle Trail was little changed from Monday, when I last visited that beach. Just the tops of some bags are showing.

One target I dug came from the brown sand which was found inches below the white renourishment sand.

Bag tops were visible way to the south beyond the second flag pole,

DJ stopped at Turtle Trail too a little later than when I was there.

I'll try to get some old finds cleaned and photographed before long.
Send any photos of old items you found in the past few days. Sometimes they have to be cleaned before you take the photos.
The surf will be decreasing after today. It didn't turn out as well as I hoped. The angles and tides weren't there to help the big surf.
