9/9/21 Report - Looking At Some of the Treasure Coast Beaches Today.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

Wabasso Thursday Morning.

I went out to see what the beaches were doing this morning.  I had to go out early because I had other things I had to do later.  Low tide was long over and the tide was coming in.

As you probably know Wabasso got a lot of renourishment sand not too long ago, and as you can see, it was not eroded this morning.

There were some guys surfing down by the Disney Resort.  The water had been up to the foot of the dunes during the last high tide.

Before visiting Wabasso I stopped at Seagrape Trail and took a quick look.

Here is what Seagrape looked like.

At Seagrape it looked like it might be cut at the bend.  I didn't walk about to see what it looked like around the bend.

Turtle Trail was sandy too.  Here is sunrise at Turtle Trail.

These photos make the beach look a lot flatter than it was.  It was actually scalloped to some extent, but still a lot of mushy sand.

I saw just a touch of three or four bag tops.  Most were totally covered.

The front beach was steeper than it appears in the photos too.

Breaking Waves on Beach Front.

I think the waves look smaller in the photos too.  They were hitting the front beach pretty hard.  You could see a lot of sand moving in the swash.  If would have liked to check that area out with a detector, but couldn't be there mid-day near low tide.

The waves were hitting straight on.  As you can see, there was no cutting to speak of at these beaches.

Well before high tide the water was getting close to the foot of the dunes.

I'll try to check out some other areas if I get a chance.

Here are the latest surf predictions.

The peak surf is supposed to be tomorrow.  As I've been saying, we're not going to get any good angles with this one.

More soon.

Happy hunting,
