Jim says there were some small scallops but nothing in the way of cuts. The beach was mushy. The water was getting higher though and might well hit the banks tonight.

The various models don't entirely agree, but the nhc is showing a center track that is very near land. There has been some weakening, but you can always expect changes in the track and strength even though there is pretty good agreement. According to what I've been seeing the center should be near us around 2 PM Sunday.

The storm isn't moving as fast as originally expected, and it looks like the peak surf will now be later - around 6 AM Sunday.

Check it out. Decisions about closing bridges to barrier islands won't be made until Sunday morning.
Thanks to DJ for that.
