Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

John Brooks Beach Tuesday Morning.

I visited John Brooks this morning not far off of high tide.  As you can see, the water had been up pretty high and was at the foot of the second cliff.

There were a few surfers out this morning and a lot of fishermen.

There were some decent shell piles on the flat in front of the cliff.

 New Blackbeard Treasure Hunt.

With questions still swirling about the legitimacy of the Fenn Treasure, you can join the hunt for The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt by purchasing one of a limited number of treasure maps.

Here is how it is described.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Aug. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- With a total of $10 million dollars in cash spread out across 10 states, The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt is launching the only treasure hunt of its kind on a scale this large. In California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas, there will be hidden and buried across cities and towns one treasure in each state containing $1 million in cash. The Blackbeard Treasure hunters will be given a digital map to download, clues, and riddles—all of which will lead to the treasure chest. To join the treasure hunt, participants must purchase a map on The Blackbeard Treasure website. Each map costs $49.99, and only a limited number of maps will be sold for each treasure chest. Treasure maps will be available for purchase starting August 8, 2020...

Hello and thanks again for all your great articles and making metal detecting fun. I usually dig all targets and got a strong iron hit the other day just below the sand. when i dug it it looked like an rusty iron wire of some sort but attached to a rope so i kept digging. the rope was attached to a big ball of nylon netting and even though i couldn’t lift it , i drug it to the truck. after much untangling, it appears to be a cargo net from a ship or maybe something from the military. can’t believe that was buried under the sand. just shows you never know! Thanks for sharing Jim.  I was really glad to hear that I help make detecting fun for you.

You do never know what might be down there until you see it.

It looks like that second one could come our way.  Too soon to tell, but keep watching.  It might get interesting.

Happy hunting,
