10/20/2020 Report - Beaches On The Treasure Coast. Surf To Get Bigger Towards End of Week.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

Ambersands Beach Monday Near Low Tide.

It was an overcast rainy day on the Treasure Coast yesterday.  At Ambersands the beach was a gradual slope from top to bottom.  No cuts.

The surf was rough.  At Wabasso there was some decent surfing.  Here is what Wabasso looked like.

Yesterday I showed some photos of Turtle Trail that were taken Sunday afternoon.  Monday there was a little more sand loss.

The cuts were a little bigger and farther back.  Using some of the old posts sticking out of the sand to compare, I would guess that at some spots there was another several inches of sand removed since Sunday.  You could see a little more of the bags too.

There was still about a foot of lighter sand over the orange sand.  More sand needs to be removed.

DJ caught the Monday morning high tide lapping up over the cut Monday morning (below).

Thanks DJ.

While at least a few beaches improved both Sunday and Monday, we were still not down to the old sand yet.

Epsilon is still sending us some wind.  I wish it was more northerly.
