11/12/22 Report - Some Treasure Coast Things That Were Uncoverd by Nicole. A Mystery Item.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

Dakota Brady, 30, of Stuart, said he was with some friends when they found human remains Wednesday morning on Chastain Beach, following severe beach erosion from Hurricane Nicole.

“We know that this is a burial ground,” Brady said. “We know what we’re on, but we never seen them come out like that.”

Authorities learned of the remains soon after.

Investigators are examining what they said are likely human remains of the indigenous Ais tribe on Hutchinson Island....

Here is the link for more about that.

Mystery Object For ID
Photo Submitted by Terry T.

Hi. Been awhile since I emailed you. This was found yesterday. It weights 24.7 pounds. Looks like the ends are bent over and machine pressed on the top and bottom. It is sealed solid.  A good friend of mine found it and carried it back several hundred yards to the car.
We have been detecting here many, many, many years - it was found north of the inlet, and none of us have ever seen anything like it. I was hoping you could get feedback from your followers on what it may be.

I hope all is well with you. I have been following your blog since it began.
Again I would like to say thanks for the info you give.
Take care.

Terry.

Any and all ideas, thoughts or guesses about this object would be appreciated.

I just started to inspect some of the things I picked up the last two or three days. Here are the first that seem to show a little age.  Both have square shanks.

Small Square Shank Nail.

Another Mall Square Connector.

I think the second might be a rivet, but I'm not sure.

I have more to show, but that is all I have time for now.

John Brooks Beach was really reshaped.  A big sand bar is at the front beach now.

Good hunting,
