12/13/22 Report - A Couple Treasure Coast Beaches Still Building. 2022 Toy Run.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of the Treasure Beaches Report.

John Brook Beach Monday Afternoon.

I didn't have much time but wanted to take a look at some beaches. I didn't have time to drive far and ended up just looking at John Brooks and Frederick Douglass.

More sand accumulated. The beach was higher, and the top layer was a little farther back towards the dunes.  It was a crunchy, coarser shell sand.

It was close to low tide, but there were no detectorists in sight. The beaches looked very much like they did two or three days ago.  The water had been just a little higher and farther towards the back of the beach, but not a whole lot.

Notice how mushy the sand is. You can see that from the foot prints.

Frederick Douglass Beach Monday Afternoon.

Frederick Douglass beach was also higher than it was teh last time I was there.  And the water had been a little farther back.

Not many people were at Frederick Douglass either.  There were a few.  And some were riding horses.  I saw where there was going to be a beach wedding down at the nest access to the south.

I wish I had some time to go to some other beaches.  I suspect there were some better spots areound.  Wish I had the time to visite them.

Every year I have some family events around this time of the month, and every year, it seems the beach weather gets interesting.  There is almost always some higher surf aroiund this time of year.

If you got to some of the other beaches, send me some photos.   Thanks.

2022 Motorcycle Toy Run.Sunday.

Everyear there is the motorcycle toy run, which goes down Midway Road from US 1, and then up Indian River Dr. and over to the island, then down to Jensen and crossing back over to Indian River Drive and returning to the start point.  It is always a fun even and tons of cyclists participate.  Just a few are shown in the above photo  Some of the cyclist dress in Santa suits or whatever and are cheered by those along the route.  A fun yearly event.

A higher surf is expected later Tuesday.  Then after that will be another wind shift.

A surf that high keeps it interesting.  Even if some beaches are not improved, there are bound to be some spots that open up.  You might have to look around for them.  Unfortunately, I won't have the time to check around a lot.  Hopefully some of you will share your photos and finds.

Good hunting,
