11/10/20 Report - Beaches Today. Buried Jewelry Store. Eta Heading to Florida Panhandle.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of treasurebeachesreport.blogspot.com.

John Brooks Beach This Morning.

I went out to check John Brooks beach this morning near low tide.  The last few times that I had been there, the water was covering much of the slope.  Today, however, it was possible to detect the low tide water line.  There was a line of modern coins a third or half way up the slope.

Here is a video clip to give you a more complete view.

Maybe you can see the dip to the north of the access.

There wasn't a detectorist to be seen.

The water didn't get nearly as high last night as the previous night.

Theta is heading away from us, and Eta is heading towards the Florida panhandle. I think we've had enough rain. I got caught today without my rain gear on.
The surf will be decreasing for a few days.

The wind direction is nor more southerly and the swells are ESE.

I should have taken a photo of the tops getting blown off the waves this morning.  Very nice.

Concerning the mystery object I posted the other day, Randall S. had this to say.

You asked for opinions on what this object might be so here's mine.  It looks like brass and in my 20th century experience, brass = military (nowadays plastic has replaced brass).  Each side of the object seems to have been made to accept a strap so maybe it was part of a helmet or some other item which needed to be secured tightly.

To remind you what we're talking about...

I think that might be it.  Thanks Randall.

A retired Michigan jeweler says he buried his entire jewelry store to host a treasure hunt.

You can find that story on rumble.com, which is a new and growing alternative to YouTube.

Here is that link.

You will find a variety of other metal detecting videos on Rumble.

Rumble is number 2 on the Google Play Store.  Parler is No. 1.  Millions are leaving Twitter and going to Parler, which is one of a few alternatives to the China dominated media companies.

American companies, including the media companies, get so much of their revenue from China that they have to kowtow to maintain access to the Chinese market.  Check out the Coca Cola revenues for example. And of course there there is the huge Chinese lobby in Washington.  In the mean time the dollar quickly decreases in value while the yuan grows stronger.
