11/13/20 Report - Miscellaneous Recent Treasure Coast Finds As Big Surf Uncovered Variety of Older Items.

Written by the TreasureGuide for the exclusive use of treasurebeachesreport.blogspot.com.

With all the World War II training that took place along the Treasure Coast, a lot of World War II items have been found on our beaches over the years.  35 mm shells have been common finds.  I was thinking not long ago that I haven't seen many of them lately, but it appears that the recent high surf exposed some again.

They look like Browning 50 caliber to me.  Kevin B. once provided information on how to identify the date and manufacturer of such shells.  You might want to look at that post again.  Below is the link.

Here are a couple foreign coins finds made recently.

A lot of lead was found at Turtle Trail just a few days ago.  I noticed from an old blog post that a lot of the same type of things was found in 2019 as well.

That is the same kind of stuff that was being found a lot this year.

In the days after the peak surf, items are still being found.

Elon Musk just posted that he was tested for Covid four times in one day using the rapid test, and two came out positive while two came out negative.  He said something was "bogus."  I agree, but that could legitimately happen.  For example, if the first two were negative and the last two were positive because of the progression of the virus.  But even if the test results were accurate, what does that do to the statistics?  Would it be recorded as two "cases" even though it is one person being showing positive twice?  Of course, there ae a lot of details and testing technicalities to be considered, but in the midst of it all there is a lot of mumbo jumbo.  Different countries do the testing differently, for example, but the media isn't honest or sophisticated enough to inform you accurately, and the politicians will take every advantage of the confusion and misrepresentations.

You can't uncritically accept what you see or hear these days, but a lot of people will believe anything if it is what they want to believe.

Eta is leaving and the sun is out on the Treasure Coast.  That other system to the south will develop before falling apart down around Central America.

Here is how Ventusky is showing the wind speed for Monday, when it will be at its strongest.

Notice in the Ventusky image above the north wind along the Florida East Coast.  The wind will be from the north, and the surf is supposed to be slightly increased - something like 3 - 5 feet.

I still have some things that need cleaned and identified.  It was a fun week.

Happy hunting,
